AVOCAT SANS FRONTIERES FRANCE (LAWYERS WITHOUT BORDERS) PAYS LACoN A VISIT.

The Director General Legal Aid Council on 27^th March 2023 received a delegation from Avocat Sans Frontieres France in his office. The delegation was led by Mr. Ivan Panett Vice President ASF, and accompanied by Christophe Vincent, Charge de projects ASF Nigeria, and Angela U. Iwuchukwu, Head of Office ASF. Mr Panett thanked the Director General for receiving them and appreciated the Council for her cooperation through the years as the two organizations have been working together since 2007 and ASF has since been working with the Legal Aid Council’s State Offices. Mr. Panett said the ASF will continue to support the Council in areas such as training of lawyers and will involve the LACoN in its erights project.

The DG LACoN also thanked ASF for their assistance to LACoN especially as they are currently working with the Council to update its Legal Aid Strategy. Also at the meeting was Mr. Bamidele Ibikunle, Director International Operations and Mrs. O. Verr, Deputy Director Human Resources.
