LACON Lagos State Office led the Legal Aid Coordination Committee (LACC) to Ijagemo Community, Ijegun – Ikotun, Lagos State, to provide Sensitization and Legal Aid Clinic to some widows on 9th April,2024. This was in furtherance of the 2024 work plan LACON presented to the Legal Aid Coordination Committee on 30th November, 2023.

The Legal Aid Coordination Committee (LACC) is a network of State and Non – State Actors Legal Aid Service Providers in Lagos State, whose mandates include the protection and defence of the rights of the Vulnerable People. The Committee is being chaired by LACON.

The Sensitization and Legal Aid Clinic which was held in Conjunction with Awake Ministry at 98 Ijagemo Road, Ijegun, Ikotun – Lagos State on the 9th of April, 2024, was supported by IDEA/ROLAC.

The widows were sensitized about Child Trafficking, Domestic and Sexual Violence, Child’s Rights, and Tenancy Laws.

The Founder of Awake Ministry, Vivian Nnachi thanked LACON and her team for the kind gesture.

The Vice-chair NBA Lagos/the Branch Human Rights Committee Chair, Esther Jimoh (Esq) and other members of her Committee joined LACON Officers (Grace Adenubi, Jessica Ofia, Adaora Onyejekwe, Marian Njoku, Kokei Ogbonnaya, Suliyat Shittu) in providing Legal Clinic after the Sensitization talks.
