LACON GIVING VOICE TO THE VOICELESS IN ADAMAWA STATE.
Mr Oliver Haniel was arrested and arraigned before the Federal High Court Yola along side with 50 others in Charge No. FHC/YL/80C/2017, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA VS YUGUDA ABUBAKAR, for the offence of conspiracy and being in possession of fire arms without lawful authority.

Out of the fifty-one (51) Defendants, the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria Yola, put up appearance in defence for thirteen (13) of the Defendant whereas the other Defendants were represented by their personal lawyers respectively.

At the close of the Prosecution’s case , a No Case Submission was made and forty-five (45) of them were discharged. Twelve (12) of the forty-five (45) were clients of LACoN.

The court held that one of our clients whose picture appears above along with five (5) others have questions to answer as the No Case Submission was not in their favour.

LACoN went ahead to open their defence and thereafter closed same on the 18th April 2024. In its Judgment the court passed Judgement in favour of all Six (6) Defendants.
