PDSS TRAINING PROGRAM HOLDS IN OYO STATE.
A one-day interactive training program on Police Duty Solicitor Scheme took place today the 10th day of May 2024 at the NBA Bar center Iyaganku Ibadan, Oyo state.
The interactive training is to kick start implementation of PDSS in Oyo state.
As part of his working visit to Oyo state, the Director -General Legal Aid Council Mr Aliyu Bagudu Abubakar was in attendance.
Also in attendance were the Director of Public prosecution Oyo state, The Assistant Commissioner of Police (State C.I.D), the NBA Chairman (Ibadan branch), Mr Bayo Akinlade (convener Duty Solicitors Network), Mr. Ibrahim (a former Board member LACON), Mr. Bamidele Ibikunle (Technical Assistant DG’s office), Mrs. R.A. Odeyale (Oyo state coordinator) Legal Aid Officers, representative of the National Human Rights Commission and other members of the Bar.
The event was organized by the Legal Aid Council in collaboration with the Duty Solicitors Network.
The workshop is to precede the inauguration of PDSS Advisory Committee.
