DG LACON DECLARES 2024 NBA – AGC LEGAL AID CLINIC OPEN.

Since 2022 when the maiden edition of the Legal Aid Clinic took place at the NBA – AGC, the Legal Aid Clinic and PDSS visit have become part and parcel of the AGC. Thanks to Legal Aid Council, DSN and other partners.

This year’s NBA – AGC Legal Aid Clinic which is the third edition was declared opened by the Director – General, who thanked all the volunteers and sponsors for collaborating with the Council in the delivery of its legal aid mandates.

He stated how Legal Aid Council has continued to work earnestly to grant access to justice to those who can’t afford the services of Lawyers, and the vulnerable people , including suspects at Police Stations.

The DG expressed his delight that PDSS is gradually becoming part and parcel of our criminal justice system, and more Lawyers and organizations are volunteering to run it.

He said though the Council lacks funding to reward them, they should be encouraged by the fact that, even God is pleased with such acts of kindness.

He then declared the 2024 NBA – AGC Legal Aid Clinic opened for the good of mankind, and cut the tape.
